About BG Gold

BG Gold Corporation is a Canadian gold company advancing the Whale Cove Project — a 100%-owned, 2,149 km² land package hosting a high-grade open-pit deposit in Nunavut, Canada. A 2026 Preliminary Economic Assessment on the Vickers Deposit outlines ~200,000 ounces of annual gold production at low cost and with high leverage to gold prices, establishing Vickers as a globally compelling development-stage asset.

Additionally, the Whale Cove Project hosts recurring gold mineralisation and prospective structural features across multiple targets, underpinning its district-scale potential.

BG Gold is led by a management team and Board with deep experience across exploration, mine development, operations, and capital markets. The Company’s shareholder base comprises current and former senior executives and founders of some of the world’s leading mining companies. In the Company’s view, such backing reflects conviction in the quality of the deposit, the scale of the exploration opportunity, and the team’s ability to deliver. BG Gold is committed to responsible development in Nunavut, with Inuit representation at the Board level and formal community engagement agreements in place with local stakeholders.

Our history and milestones

1960s

Exploration at the Whale Cove Project began in the 1960s

Initially the focus was on base metals before attention shifted progressively toward gold. Systematic gold exploration of the Vickers Deposit was undertaken by Northquest Ltd. (subsequently acquired by Nordgold in 2016), which completed approximately 49,000 metres of drilling and established an initial NI 43-101 Mineral Resource of 0.7 Moz Inferred in 2016, growing to 1.6 Moz Inferred by 2020.

2022

BG Gold acquired the Whale Cove Project

With a 1.6 Moz Inferred Resource and a total area of 842 km2.

2023

Developing behind the scenes

In 2023, the Company undertook structural reinterpretation, geological mapping, and fieldwork to address gaps in the historical dataset.

2024

Advancing the Vickers Deposit

The largest drilling campaign at Vickers in the Project’s history — 8,378 metres — was followed by upgrading the Resource to 1.53 Moz M&I and 0.91 Moz Inferred.

2025

Testing district scale potential

Drilled three previously untested targets — including the CZ target, which returned 64 metres at 3.1 g/t Au — and, following identification of major structural corridors, expanded the tenement to 2,149 km². Undertook metallurgical drilling and testing at Vickers and initiated work on a Preliminary Economic Assessment.
